Morning Beatrix Potter & Wordsworth Lakeland Tour ( Tour G )

For lovers of Beatrix Potter and her world famous children’s stories and for those interested in William Wordsworth this is a scenic tour exploring the literary associations of southern Lakeland. Visiting eight lakes including the exquisite Tarn Hows. we visit many places, houses and farms that are associated with Beatrix Potter including her famous Hill Top farm;  the very first farm belonging to Beatrix which can still be seen just as it was when she lived there. We see where William Wordsworth and his family are buried in the Churchyard in Grasmere Village, right next door to the Gingerbread Shop which is a must for many passengers,  also a look at Dove Cottage  where Wordsworth  was living when he wrote his most famous poem  'The Daffodils'. All of this, in the short space of a morning, after which we return to Windermere via Rydal Water and Ambleside with a  look at the Little Bridge House. The Winter Special ( Tour D )

The Winter Special This tour operates in the winter months weather and numbers permitting from 1st November to the end of February. It is essentially a Tour G and the morning part of tour A to create a full day tour departing at 0945 and returning at approx 1645. There is no boat cruise included and lunch is taken in Grasmere.   Pickup Locations and Times Morning and Full Day tours. For pick ups in Bowness 25 mins before start of tour For Pick ups in Windermere 15 mins before start of tour. For Pick Ups in Ambleside  15 Mins after start of tour.
